Inviting Members




1. Sign in by clicking the “Sign In” link in the top, right corner of the page
2. Click “Manage Wiki” on the left
3. Under “People,” click “Invite People”
4. Type or paste email addresses in the “Send To” box
5. Edit “Your Message” and click “Send”

Editing a Page

1. Click "Edit This Page" button at the top of the page
2. Use the "Editor" toolbar to edit the page much like you would with Microsoft Word
3. Click "Save"

Creating a New Essentials Guide (using a template)


1. Click the "New Page" link at the top left of the page
2. Give the page a distinct name
3. Next to "Start with Page Template" select "Essentials Template" in the drop down box
4. Add tags if you wish and click "Create"

Copying and Pasting from Word or Google Docs


*Note-When copying from Word or Google Docs, some formatting issues could arise. Here are some tips that could help:
-Make formatting changes before you copy
-Copy text into Notepad first, then copy the text again
-Try to stay away from copying text and images or text and tables at the same time
-When copying from tables, select the entire table and copy (To do this, click the box with the arrows that appears in the upper left corner when you mouse over the table.)
-Save your page often when you are happy with the way things are working (There is not an "Undo" button!)
-If pasting into the wiki changes the table formatting, you may want to click "Cancel" on the toolbar and try again (Warning, this will erase all of your changes since your last save! See previous tip!)
-When copying text from one cell in a table, avoid copying the space behind the text (this copies additional, unnecessary formatting)

Reverting to a Previous Version


1. Click the "History" tab at the top of the page
2. Click the date and time link of the version you would like to revert to
3. Next to "Actions" click "revert to this version"
4. Click the "Revert" button

Linking to Google Docs


1. Open the document that you would like to link to in Google Docs
2. Click the "Share" button and choose "Publish as web page..."
3. Check the "Automatically re-publish when changes are made" box and click "Publish"
4. Copy the URL that is provided and create a link in your wiki

Uploading Files


1. Place your cursor where you would like to place the file and click the “Insert Images and Files” button on the toolbar
2. Click the “Upload Files” tab
3. Click “Browse” and find your file
4. Click “Upload”
5. Click “Insert Files” tab
6. Choose to insert the file or link to the file and double click on the file
